Review summary
We sailed on the Glory this past New Years. We celebrated New Years eve onboard the ship on our way to St. Thomas. That was an awesome experience. The ports of call were all good, with St. Thomas and Grand Turk being our favorite. We had a great time on the ATV excursion in San Juan but I am not a big fan of San Juan in general. Additionally, we had an amazing time at the Atlantis Dolphin Encounter in Nassau, but I am not a big fan of the Bahamas in general either. St. Thomas and Grand Turk are awesome. We took the Champagne Cruise in St. Thomas and did the Shark and Sting Ray encounter in Grand Turk. Both were great. You just can't beat the waters in Grand Turk; crystal clear. The Carnival experience was good. If you have cruised a lot, then you know the cruise lines are really changing a lot of things i.e. no more midnight buffets; no more previous cruiser parties on board, etc. Carnival does have a new Cheers! program on board which charges a flat fee, per day for spirits and beer. At $42.95 a day, it really is the way to go if you plan on indulging in adult beverages while on board the ship. The crew on this voyage were good and friendly, and our Cabin Steward, Budi, was very helpful.Ship experiences

Ship tip
Opt for the open seating program; it gives you the most flexibility. If you are on this program, make friends with the dining staff early on, and you will not encounter any long waits.
