Review summary
My first cruise with Carnival was on my honeymoon in 1988 and I remember at the time thinking that this was the best thing ever. You were treated so special and everything was so wonderful. I no longer feel that way. Nowadays they cram as many people as they can on the ship and try to have every food known to man available but by doing this they really sacrifice the quality and service that was once so important to cruise lines. It seems like Carnival wants to provide the "poor" mans cruise. They may charge slightly less than other cruise lines but at what cost to the cruiser? The employees are obviously just there to do a job. They do not make you feel special at all. This was not the case in the past. Carnival has really gone downhill on their service and for that reason, I will never cruise with them again.Ports of call
Pros: It was a cruise
Cons: The decline of the ship and the service
