Review summary

Very nice cruise especially through the Canal, however I wish we had been on a smaller ship so we could have gone through the older side of the Canal rather than the new one

Debarkation at Galveston had never been easy. Have done it 3 times and always takes a long time compared to other cruise terminals

We did the Panama Canal Full Transit - west to east - on the Miracle. It was AMAZING!! We have friends who have done the new locks as well as old and said they weren't pleased with the transit on the new. Thank you, Carnival, for the Spirit class. They are the only ships that are small enough to transit. I like the variety of decor on the smaller ships, too. The older ships have so much personality! I also love having the atrium for people watching, string trios, bands, singers, end the Last Night balloon drops. After all, this is a Carnival! Find a transit (full or partial) on a Spirit class ship and do the old locks. You will never forget it!!
