Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Overall food was good but fruit wasn't. Need more variety of desserts and pastries.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Need to have more dancing and carribean music on outside upper deck #9. Instead of having the hot tub stick up in the center of the floor, and lounge chairs everywhere, clear out that space and encourage more dancing to good carribean music. Playing Mary had a little lamb on the outside TV was a turnoff. Whoever is in charge of what's played on the outside TV needs some help. I didn't really care to see headline news on the outside tv every morning when I walked on outside deck to breakfast. What about playing some fun uplifing music. Afterall this was a carribean cruise. Alcohol was way overpriced not to mention the 15% gratuity that was added on to each drink purchase. Carvinval needs to pay their bar boys and not have our 15% be their wages. I realize you are feeding them and putting a roof over their heads but working them 10 hours or more and expecting us to pay their wages is rediculous.

Service and Staff

We approached the Matri Di of our dining room on the 1st day of our trip when we found out that 2 of the couples that were on the trip with us were scheduled to eat in a different area than us. He took care of getting us all in the same eating area. Great job!

Ship Quality

Was clean, nice decor, bathroom hand dryers are way to loud and kleenex papers you pull out of dispenser to open the doors are a great idea but when pulling them out they were so thin they made a mess. Don't like the hot tub sticking up on outside lido deck #9

Cabin / Stateroom

Size of rooms and cleanliness were great. We had a great room cleaner. He was very nice.

Ports of call

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

When you get off the ship their will be lots of drivers to take you for a tour of the island. We were charged $20.00 per person it's deffinately worth it. Get a vehicle that is open. Very safe place.
Don't Miss: Take a tour of the island. Our's lasted about 3 hours.

St. John's, Antigua

Was a very poor place. Lot's of run down homes. We went to the beach and that was good enough. When you get off the ship their are lots of taxi guys that will offer to take you on a tour of the island. We didn't trust them so we skipped the tour.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

3 out of 5
The hours we were there didn't make a lot of sense. We didn't have much time to shop as the stores closed at 9:00 p.m. and we didn't feel safe venturing off or going out on the town and we didn't leave San Juan until late that night??
Don't Miss: Senor Frogs

Nassau, Bahamas

Nassau has become so commercialized. The straw market is dwindling down. Take a tour of island.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Grab a cab when you get off the ship and have them take you on a tour. Go downtown shopping. Lot's of jewelry stores.

Pros: Piano Bar singer/player, Live music in Cigar Bar & outside deck, commedian

Cons: Prices of alcohol, 70's Disco, and overall entertainment

Recommends Carnival Freedom? No.
