Review summary

It was a nice and relaxing cruise. The weather wasn’t super hot, like it normally is there.

Embarkation

Very smooth and quick process for priority boarding.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I did not use the main dining room, but family did and said it was good. I ate in the buffet, mostly but did go to Tepanyaki once and was so entertaining and food was delicious. Also, the steakhouse was great, too. The deli on 11th floor was not great. They ran out of things, the things that were supposed to be hot, weren’t. The chicken spot and the burger spot were really good.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

Loved the Love and Marriage show. Always entertaining! The comedians were mediocre.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was clean, but the floors are often wet and slick in the common areas. I saw kids acting like they were skating!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was clean and got nice and cold! The room steward knocked on the door twice when the “snoozing” sign was on. Once for giving a card that should have just been placed in the mailbox. The other, on disembarktion morning at 0700, trying to encourage you to leave. Ugh!

Ship tip

Eat lots of ice cream!

Ports of call

Ensenada, Mexico

5 out of 5
It was great. Took a shuttle from the port for $4 round trip, which took you to the bus depot. From there, bought a $25 excursion for shopping and the “blowhole”(La Bufadora). Tour guide was Tony and he was awesome.

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

3 out of 5
The water shuttle/tender was not good. It really cut into the time allowed to explore in port. I stayed on the ship.

Long Beach (Los Angeles), California

Disembarkation

They actually had a staff member manning the elevator to get to floor 3 to get off. It was quick and painless!
