Review summary

This was our second cruise as a family of 5. We had a great time. Only complaint was the Charleston port. The Charleston port is too crowded and slow to get on the ship. This was my second time with Carnival and it was great. The staff on the ship was really great people and I will book another cruise with them.

Cabin / Stateroom

Had plenty of room for all 5 of us to sleep and shower. yes the cabin was small as all ship cabins that are economical are. The staff kept it clean and decorated with a new towel animal everyday.

Ports of call

Charleston, South Carolina

The town is neat! I would plan an extra day to see everything. We had half a day and it was only enough time to go thru the market place.

Nassau, Bahamas

Great place to port, everyone was very friendly.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

Loved it! don't plan on doing any shopping at all. Plan on having a beach day, it was like being on another vacation.

What time would you suggest getting to charleston port and if we are being dropped off what time can we reasonably expect to get on the ship?

I preferred Charleston embarking over Baltimore but Baltimore over Charleston for debarking lol at least in Charleston you can wait in your own vehicle and kids can play with their toys in the backseat. Standing outside when it's cold and raining waiting to get through customs to get to your car at the end sucked.

We've been on 4 past Cruises and charleston was the quickest port we ever went out of in NYC the parking at the cruise terminal was already full when we got there and after going into the city to find alternate parking we waited in line for 2.5 hrs before we got on the ship waiting is never fun
