Carnival always delivers on service and smiles.
Learning experience on these ports. Wish there were more options for excursions.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
This went fairly smooth. I booked a time to check in but due to horrible traffic getting in port we missed that so had a longer line but went quickly. Liked how we were able to go right to our room after boarding and checking into our safety check point.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food was good. Always food to eat. Guys burgers was excellent, the buffets were very good, last full day it seemed the quality tasted off. Service is always amazing.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
I couldn't get to the pool, it always seemed really packed. I enjoyed the casino. Everything looked fun but too many people, so didn't use anything.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
They all were good. These performers seem to give it their all, they have fun that radiates the crowds.
I just felt this cruise lacked some in the amount of shows available in the encore.
Children's Programs
No kids
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Carnival never fails in this category. They are so nice and friendly. Our room attendant Janet was amazing. We asked for a bucket of ice the first day and then everyday we came to the room she always has a fresh bucket of ice waiting.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
The ship Is a bit old. You can tell. But it is always clean. Cleaning crew are top notch
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
The ship Is a bit old. Our stateroom was hot. We did tell guest services and called maintenance 3xs. Only had someone come and check the temp. Temp was 77.8 which was said that was hotter than their standard but no one did anything about it.
Ship tip
If you can balcony rooms are worth it. Paying for wifi isn't worth it. I bought the highest plan and couldn't use anything really. Facebook messenger worked, Spotify or any streaming did not, even games on phone couldn't work. Was a waste of money.
Love key west. We booked a parasailing excursion but it got cancelled, but the shops, bars, and restaurants were within walking distance. So although bummed, there is still plenty to do.
Carnival has the full island but only a small section of beach for everyone who didn't book an excursion. It was a packed beach, some of the food places closed way too early. There was a good smelling sea food place we wanted to try but by the time we walked our way through some of the shops and got ro the beach he was closing. It was 2 and we didn't leave port until 5. An excursion here would probably be good, but I am not paying the high cost to swim with pigs.
Certainly book an excursion here, otherwise there are plenty of shops and restaurants but you don't get to see beautiful Nassau. I would have liked to see more of the island.
Excursion: you have choices 1 the cruise line. 2 third party like this app. 3 getting with locals. The best thing is watch videos or read books of the area then choose what you want. I have even rented a car and did what I wanted. Best of luck
