Review summary

Overall the cruise was very good despite the couple of minor issues. I do think traffic police could do a better job in getting traffic into the Galveston port more efficiently. It took us about 45 minutes to get into the port because we had to wait in traffic just outside the port area causing us to miss our priority check in time,

Children's Programs

No programs for children under the age of 2 years old. Should have an open area with more available area for parents to take this age group to play. Not only 8 - 10. The rest of the day the parents must keep this age group in the room because, my grandson was 23 months and was unable to swin also

Service and Staff

Our room steward (Julio) was outstanding. He was probably the best room steward we have ever had in all of our many cruises. Our 3 rooms stayed cleaned, ice cannister always filled, he was polite, courteous, knowledgeable and always available. He is worthy of special recognition. Our waiters (Tri Yana, Ni puhi, and Cynthia) were also very good and took care of me and my family. They were really good.

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin size was sufficient and was always clean. Had a problem with bathroom light which was repaired immediately. The whirlpool tub wasn't working and technicians could not repair it. Guest serviced gave a little compensation for the inconvenience. Once again, our cabin steward was instrumental in coordinating and keeping us informed on the progression.

Ship tip

Get to the port early, have all of your documentation and be patient.

Not really a water person and it was rather expensive, especially things like renting umbrellas.

Awesome. Had an excellent private driver. Really liked this port.

Disembarkation

Was held up by security for over 20 minutes. They said we spent over $850.00 but my wife combined all 3 three rooms accounts couldn't understand we had all 3 of our rooms on one card. We purchased watches, pictures, fees on half moon island and our kids had drinks. Additional training required in that area.
