Review summary

Other than missing out on HMC and the horrors we dealt with in Nassau, it was a nice trip. MarQ was an awesome cruise director.

Much slower since ships were starting to return to full capacity.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Changes started being made left and right. Food quality lowered in many areas and some favorites completely gone. This is the cruise where it became impossible to get any chipotle mayo at Guy's Burgers. The dispensers are always empty and if you ask them to refill them, they say they will but never do.

Onboard Activities

The hot tubs are just warm tubs. Not hot like our honeymoon cruise.

Entertainment

The parties are always fun, but it gets old seeing the same shows time and time again.

Children's Programs

No kids.

We love oceanviews. Can't beat having an extra closet, a big window you can sit in, and 2 bathrooms.

We had a great time doing the Pub Crawl through Carnival. We're not keen to do it over and over again like some do though. It doesn't make sense for them to talk about how many bars are on Duval if they ALWAYS go to the same 5 bars. BTW your guide clocks out at the last bar and everyone is on their own from there.

Stayed on the ship.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island) Did not visit port

Tropical storm Nicole made this turn into a rocky seaday.

We never want to get off the ship in Nassau again! First we checked out some street vendors across from the port. There they seem to think that 2 for $5 translates into 3 for $10 instead of 4 for $10 so watch out for that. Listening to others advice, we decided to follow the crowd on a walk to Junkanoo Beach. It is not a straight walk, its a zig zagging mess! It was about a 15 minute walk where we were harassed by all the people on the streets trying to lure you into their shops with words like "You come see my store, but don't touch anything" Like that's inviting. Left and right men are trying to sell you cigars. My wife was harassed by a guy who told her her hair looked like cotton candy. He then got disrespectful and asked her if he tastes it will it taste like cotton candy. I was with my wife the whole time and didn't like that. I told him no in an aggressive tone, but he still followed us and kept talking about her hair. By the time we got to Junky Beach it started raining. We walked out onto the beach and immediately a bummy guy tried to rent us chairs. We declined and looked at the nasty beach for like 2 minutes before we left. There were huge rocks, seaweed, seaweed full of trash, and trash everywhere there wasn't a chair to rent. The water smelled horrible and nearly made me hurl. In fact the whole island was trashy, smelly, and disgusting. Next we wanted to walk 2 blocks from junky beach to the John Watlings Distillery. During the walk, residents informed us we were "walking through the hood". They were kind enough to walk us to the distillery and tell us which way was safe to take back to the port. The tour was like 2 minutes, and we didn't get any of the pina colada samples we heard about from other cruisers and videos online. At the end of the tour, we BOUGHT samples and all of them were STRONG. My wife poured 2 of her 3 in her water bottle to take with us and mix with something with them. We immediately went back to the ship from there and said never again will we get off the ship there. Now we will be in the hot tub on the serenity deck in Nassau. No need to try to convince us to give it another try or tell us where to try next time. It doesn't exist to us anymore. 1 and done.
