Carnival Dream

8 Night Eastern Caribbean (Galveston Roundtrip)

Sail date: September 10, 2022

Ship: Carnival Dream

Traveled as: Large Group

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Review summary

Prior to boarding the Dream, the Breeze was my favorite ship and Vista was my least favorite. The Dream is a much prettier version of the Breeze and has more soul, more akin to the Conquest class which has the best decor and the dream class has the best layout so this is naturally now my favorite ship in Carnival’s fleet.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Galveston, always easy if you know what you’re doing, otherwise prepare for that Texas heat!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Carnival food, good for what it is.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Jacky Tang is a new cruise director from NCL but he’s already got the spirit, being trained under Cookie and everything.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff has a lot of newer people but you can tell the tenured people are doing the best to onboard them.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Clean and sleek for such an old ship.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Had a balcony, just like all old carnival ships, ugly orange color but roomie as heck so can’t complain.
