Food and Dining

OVERALL- the worst food on any cruise- tried all areas including steak house Buffet - meat tough and very dry, frozen boiled egg, most food cold, not much flavor, same choices over and over. Why was the watermelon and bacon seldom out and you had to hunt for it. The scrambled eggs were sitting in water. Waffles and toast COLD. The carved meats were bone, grizzle, fat! 80% of cakes were extremely dry. Rice Pudding was uncooked, rice hard and custard runny. Passed on many meals or ate chocolate chip cookies. Cookies were good until about the day six and then I could not eat another cookie. MDR - Not a pleasurable experience. Food and service was closer to a small step above drive through restaurant. Often felt rushed. Began ordering multiple meals because most food was not edible. Giant waste. No sour dough which was a staple in past. Lobster was slimy and mushy. Food was never warm and definitely not hot. Soups were watery. Pasta Bar - Hours are too short. Second best place to eat. Guys Burgers - Best food on ship. Although, you can only eat so many burgers. Deli - Tried 2 different sandwiches. Both were toasted on top. Bottoms were soggy. One the cheese was not melted. Guys BBQ - Hours too short. Got in line 45 mins early was the 4th person in one line. Asked if there was chicken breast. I was told no. I believe I saw breast the day before. So I said no chicken. They put chicken in my plate and could not tell me what part of the chicken it was. There was a long long line behind me. I asked sever times to take chicken off. Pork was all fat. Beef was just ok. Mac n Cheese did not have any, none salt or pepper. All food was cold. The food sat out for over 15 mins until it was time to open, maybe that is why it was cold. Plan to contact Guy Fieri. Steak House - Ordered lobster bisque and there was no lobster or cream. It was more of a lobster broth. Spinach salad was just spinach, mushrooms were cooked and did not smell well, bacon did not have much taste. I asked for alternative dressing and selected balsamic. There was a tiny bit on salad and it sat at the bottom was not incorporated into the salad. Stuffed mushrooms were good. Lobster was delicious. Steak was tender, not seasoned well and it was cold. Apple tart was not good. Sushi Edamame was wonderful, steamed rice was very good. Roll was good BAR Many times we asked for a drink that could not be provided. This was mainly due to not having Coke products. You cannot swap Pepsi for Coke. It is insulting to guests that they should just accept a drink that is not what they want because of a deal carnival has with Pepsi. Many male bartenders ignored women customers. Early in the cruise we were told there was Seagram's 7 at only 1 bar. A simple and popular 7&7, first could not be prepared because ship only had diet 7 Up ( why if there are no Coke products can you have diet 7 Up, but not regular 7 Up or Coke?) Diet 7 Up is definitely a different taste than 7 Up plus it has aspartame which is a contributor to cancer, toxic doses of methanol and harmful in multiple other ways. Now can’t even make the drink because because Seagrams 7 will run out. BONUS - met Officer Sara. She was able to procure Seagrams 7 for us and had it at a specific bar where we could enjoy. She listened to our concerns and made us feel like we were important. She was one of the people that made our cruise enjoyable. You need more Sara’s at the top making decisions.

Onboard Activities

Pools and fitness center were fine

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows and outdoor movies were current and the best we have seen.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
HOUSEKEEPING - 5 stars The absolute stars of the ship. I Made was our steward and he was exceptional. The others that serviced our room were all friendly and did a wonderful job. I Made was always around and continually asked if we needed anything! Everyone that we came in contact throughout the ship that were part of housekeeping were the best we have ever had! The public restrooms were spotless. Waiters - 3 stars Extreme language barrier. Many rushed through meals.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship extremely clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin very clean, nice size for a ship Cabin is dated. 1 outlet per cabin is very inconvenient. Bed did not stay together.

Ship tip

Take extension cord, additional outlet, food if you don’t enjoy ship food
