Review summary

I was very disappointed in the Buffet. The food seemed to be recycled from the prior night Dining Rooms. They painted the ship at every port, so 3 of our days, we couldn't use our Balcony.

We couldn't use our Balcony for 3 days of our trip, due to them painting so do waste your money. Get an Ocean View.

I love sitting out on the balcony early in the morning and late in the evening. I would have been upset about that.

On NCL Epic recently our room flooded due to burst water pipe in wall. We did not have access to our room or balcony for 3 days, except to go in and retrieve items or shower. They replaced bed in cabin at night, but we could not sleep due to the noisy fans, so slept on couches outside cigar bar. They offered us no compensation whatsoever, even though we politely reminded them we felt they should offer us something. Not even discount on future cruise. Nothing. I'm fully aware travel can be unpredictable and we're pretty flexible and remained polite. NCL has lost our business and we travel a lot. I know they don't care. To say their customer service is lacking is a severe understatement. I doubt you will receive anything , but that should not keep you from politely and persistently pursuing this issue. Good luck. If you could not use your balcony, I would definitely check into some sort of reimbursement, voucher, etc. Good luck.

Did they actually block you from using it or was it the smell of the paint that kept you off?

We use the balcony, so wouldn’t be happy about that. They should do something.

Ooooh...to pay for balcony rooms and not be able to use them...Carnival should make amends somehow.
