Review summary

Overall it was a fun time. I think I prefer a smaller boat and more intimate experience.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We arrived at our designated time. The terminal had lots of agents ande were through the process in under an hour.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Buffet options were just okay. The floors always felt slick as they were constantly wiping the floors with a wet mop. The main dining room dinners were very good. The "rare finds" each night were a nice way to try something new. Our waiters were AWESOME and made sure we were well taken care of.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The activities seemed very limited to me....a lot of trivia games. The space provided was small so unless you came extremely early chances to sit were limited, especially if you had a group of people. The art auctions were both interesting and fun. We ended up purchasing a painting.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Comics were okay. Ben at the Piano bar was by far our favorite!

Children's Programs

We were not traveling with children. I would have preferred a more adult cruise-we had not expected as many families as we're on this ship.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All service personnel we encountered were always friendly. We only saw our room Stewart once or twice during the week but our room was kept clean. Manik and Jackson, our main dining room attendants were AWESOME. They knew our names from the first night and always made sure we were well taken care of.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I would have enjoyed the experience more if there had been a quite bar where you could relax with friends, have a drink and chat. Also, bar stools with backs would be nice. I did find it difficult to find trash receptacles-there were a couple on the lido otherwise you had to find a restroom or go back to your cabin. I also found the restrooms difficult to find. They were placed and identified differently on almost all floors!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The cabin was great. It was smaller than on previous cruises I have taken but the size was adequate. There was only one US outlet which made it difficult to charge two phones. We would have to wake in the night to "switch" our phones. It seems the air was turned off at night which created a very warm atmosphere which kept us awake until the air came back on around 5:00 a.m.

Ship tip

Not sure how you would do this, but try to find out if there will be a lot of kids on board.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

5 out of 5
We came two days early and had a great time exploring the City. We had an awesome time!

Montego Bay, Jamaica

3 out of 5
We did the Hop On/Hop Off tour. The drivers were great sharing info about the area. We also visited Margaritaville but found it loud and congested. The shopping was the same at all stops and very close, hard to get around.

George Town, Grand Cayman

5 out of 5
LOVED this island. We did the micro brewery and rum tasting tour. The driver we had was so much fun and worked hard to keep us on track. The "tastes" we're pretty much unlimited a both stops so common sense is a good thing! We ended at a resort for a beach stop and lunch.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We did not an excursion here but did walk to this Margaritaville for a drink. It was a much quieter experience which was nice to sit and visit and watch some local entertainment. We enjoyed the shops by the pier as they were varied.

Disembarkation

Smooth as silk!

I was on Dream last year and in small Paradise this year so I like how point of view. I worried I won't like the smaller ship since my first was on Dream... Thoughts?
