Review summary

This was our "Family Thanksgiving Cruise" and it was filled with wonderful memories! There were a few hiccups, but nothing that will diminish my wonderful memories! I have tons of pictures and several stories to go along with them. Just so I won't get the "Cruise Blues" I'm ready to start planning my next cruise! I admit...I'm addicted! Happy Cruising Everybody!!!!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
My embarkation went very smoothly. I required a wheelchair and everyone was very nice and never made me feel like I was an imposition.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
I can not say enough good things about our dining! We had the best dining staff EVER in the Crimson Upper Dining Room! They became our family! We were actually suppose to eat at the Steak House on Thanksgiving night, but we all agreed that we didn't want to leave our "dining family" and cancelled our reservation. We will never forget Gene and Samuel!

Onboard Activities

Jackpot Casino

5 out of 5

Of course any casino is great when you win! I'm not a big gambler and wasn't playing high stakes, but I had fun on my penny machine and played two night and came out ahead both night, so that is WINNING! Not something I usually do! lol

Entertainment

5 out of 5

Encore! Main Lounge

5 out of 5

We enjoyed the comedy shows just about every night! The entertainment was great! We especially loved our hometown lady from Louisiana, even if she does live in TX now. She was awesome, Caroline Picard.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our personal room steward wasn't great, but the other servers we had were outstanding!!! We had room service several times and everyone was always pleasant and just treated us like kings and queens! No matter who I met in the hall they always would speak and smile. The ship was full and I know they were all working hard and having long days, but they kept on smiling!!!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The fact that I didn't get lost once says a lot! lol Their were always people cleaning all areas of the ship. I couldn't find any down falls at all.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Home Sweet Home for 7 days! It was the same size cabin I had stayed in before and it worked well. The ONLY complaint probably for the whole cruise was THE BED!!!! It was HORRIBLE so VERY UNCOMFORTABLE. I had actually requested 2 single beds and we had a Queen. I guess it was MY BAD for not fussing and asking them to change it out. My son and his friend had single beds and they said they were comfy. Never again.... I loved my balcony though and enjoyed it to the fullest! I don't think I could ever cruise any other way....just call me spoiled.

Ship tip

Be prepared to enjoy yourself, but do your homework beforehand! It's a beautiful boat, with beautiful people working on it to serve you. Remember to treat them with respect.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana Did not visit port

I live here.

Key West, Florida

We did took the tour bus around and got off to have lunch by the pier. Of course I had to have some Key Lime pie! The Key Lime Pie was my favorite, I can not lie. The tour was interesting to hear about the town, but it got long at times.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

5 out of 5
We did a day at the beach excursion in Freeport and really enjoyed it. I took some pictures on my other camera and will have to post them later. We REALLY enjoyed Freeport! I did some shopping after the beach and it was a pleasant experience.

Nassau, Bahamas Did not visit port

I stayed on the ship. My husband and kids went on an excursion and had a nice time. It was going to be too much climbing and walking for me. I had a relaxing day on the Ship.

Disembarkation

It went well, even using an wheel chair. I can not complain about anything. Everyone was very caring and considerate.
