Review summary

We have been on several cruises, this one was by far, very disappointing.  When I booked through I called and spoke to an agent that was excited to help me find the perfect cruise to help me celebrate my 50th birthday.  We found the Carnival Dream cruise to the Caribbean, sailing out on July 3rd.  I made it very clear that we wanted a balcony to enjoy the panoramic views of the Caribbean ocean.  We received a state room with a port hole directly above the engines, during the entire cruise, our cabin vibrated so extremely bad that items in our bathroom were falling off the shelves.  I was also promised $50. on board credit, there was none, was told that my husband's military discount would help off set the cost of the balcony.  Also tickets to the Trace Adkins concert aboard the ship, again nothing.  I highly encourage a supervision to listen to the recording of my conversation with this young lady to verify the above details.  My husband also called to make final payment for cruise and reiterated the excitement for our balcony cruise.  Customer service aboard the Carnival Dream couldn't do anything to help us since we booked through .  I truly hope that someone reads this and understands the frustration I experienced.

Sincerely,

Kyle and Rhonda

I always call Carnival and speak to my PVP and ask for a confirmation email immediately after booking to ensure that I'm getting what I paid for

They just newbies some people need help that is why they go to travel agents. So bad ta's make it hard for good ones. I say since your new book directly with cruise line...

I flagged them hopefully they will remove their personal info.

Sorry this happened but why give the Dream just 2 stars when everything you mentioned was not there fault ?

I hope rhonnie66 gets this message to take their name & phone number off here!!

I highly suggest you remove your full name and number. I don't consider myself the most computer literate. But in about 2 minutes I figured out where you live, what years you both were born, your email address. Where you were born. And something about your business. I can only imagine what more a sophisticated hacker is doing.

The only time I have had a similar problem was when I booked through CCL. Now I use a TA, Sandy Cavender, and get exactly what I ask for. I'll not book through CCL, but I love to cruise with them!

Can't understand why they havnt edited their number out!

No words for this other than TAKE YOUR PHONE NUMBER OFF OF THE INTERNET!!!

Your confirmation should have included all the perks they promised you. It also would have mentioned ocean view room with BALCONY. This doesn't make sense! I've always gotten everything that was promised!!

Only book through Carnival

jims60    8 years ago

Don't really know what to say, except next time verify everything to the tee bedore tour final payment. You really should book through Carnival, the booking agents you know get kick backs when they are able to screw you. Sorry try agaib or vacation on dry land, and no I will bot call you. That's asking for trouble.Apparently you know nothing about identity thieft.

Don't confirmations tell you what kind of room you booked? I've booked through the cruiseline directly as well as through 3rd parties and I always check everything to make sure it's right. Once we booked a cruise while on board and they booked it for my husband and our youngest instead of him and me. If I hadn't double checked it would have been a very different outcome lol.

Did you not question it when your price was rather cheap for a balcony?

batch123    8 years ago

Why on earth did you put your first and last names along with your phone number on a public server. Good luck with that one. You better sign up for identity theft protection. P.S. The Military rate is rarely the best deal to book. I'm retired Military, it pays to shop around other deals. And logging into the website months ago would have revealed if you had a problem with the room or booking. Not to mention the confirmation email minutes after making the booking. Something tells me you or him are not being truthful. Sorry, but it doesn't make sense to not know.

I agree. I'm sorry this happened to you guys

It sounds like it wasnt carnivals fault. sounds like whatever company you booked through dropped the ball on you guys. Thats why its good to go directly through carnival. Carnival has no control over the third party's way of doing business so why give them a bad review? I would contact the agent you booked through and take it up with them then give THEM the bad review.
