Review summary

We've been on serveral cruises on different cruise lines. While service is great, with 4500 passengers there were long lines to exit or board the ship. Serving 38,000 meals a day, makes it difficult to have really good food. I think some of the smaller carnival ships had more activities and better food. Great water slides for the kids. Overall, still an enjoyable time but not as good as some of the smaller ships.

That's where I got my information as well. Straight from Carnivals website. Roughly 3600-3700 not 4500.

The Dream's maximum capacity of people is 5000, but thats includes a little over 1300 crew members aboard as well. The usual amount typically for paying passengers is around 3700 or so. Just read the ship's stats, and it gives most info about the ship.

Katievp she was correct with the 4500 passengers. Many rooms hold 3 and 4 people so at capacity the Dream carries more passengers than published. All three of my Dream cruises were around 4500 also.

Big ships, little ships. I'm good with either as long as I'm on one.

I prefer the smaller ships.

The Dream doesn't hold 4500 passengers. Roughly 3600-3700.
