Review summary
It's a sad day for us. No St Maarten , but, and I quote "a extra fun day at sea". So we are currently slowly heading to our next port of tomorrow (1/14) at San Juan, PR. Reason given, they could not get a good tie off at the dock because of the seas. Real reason may have been at the carnival pier was a small, maybe 200' ship not allowing the captain to get in close enough. Odd that Carnival would allow another ship to park there at their pier knowing that the Carnival Dream was expected there. After we had pulled in and started to try and dock, Celebrity and Royal Caribbean pulled in 30 minutes after us. Dream pulled out with the cruise director saying the seas were to ruff. Bull. At the service desk, staff were telling everyone complaining that the other ships were also leaving. I told the lady to get out from behind the desk and look back at the pier, where both ships were having passengers disembarking. Lies over lies. Also be aware that there truly is a sewage problem on board with some cabins bathrooms flooding when one takes a shower, as well as the sewer gas smell in the forward ship hallways. Service desk has never got those items resolved. Overall recommendation, with lies and deceit, and lack of concern from Carnival in Miami (305) 599-2600 Erica in guest relations, avoid this ship, and maybe even Carnival cruise lines. Hard to say that as I am a platinum card member, but this has been a bad cruise.
