Review summary

A beautiful new ship with lots of accomidations. Nice staff and rooms. Would recommend a balcony room which was enjoyable sitting outside and enjoying the ride. The food wasn't spectacular but definately good for the price of the cruise. First time on a carnival cruise and was expecting less but i was thrilled with the outcome. I believe newer is better. Would definately take Carnival again for a family with kids and if you are trying to save some money. Would definatly take another Carnival Cruise while the kids are still young.

Ship tip

Try the pasta bar at least once for lunch, it's very good. Favorite Frozen drink was the mocha chocolate, yummy. If anyone in your family has food allergies, make them aware of it because the restaurants for dinner are extremely thorough and will visit with you before dinner to go over your meal. Trisna who was in charge when we sailed was amazing with keeping my son's food safe.

was asked to take a 20 minute tour on a horse carriage as soon as we got off and it was worth the money.100.00/4 people

San Juan, Puerto Rico

really enjoyed san juan, take the free outdoor bus when you get off the ship, takes you all around san juan in 30 minutes and then you can get off and shop.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

correction on the price of the tour in bahamas, it was 15.00 per person for the 20 minute horse and buggie ride. St. Thomas' tour was 25.00 per person. We met a local tour group right at the beginning of the shopping area where the cabs dropped us off to shop and they let you shop for 2 hours, give you a tour on a outdoor bus and take you to Trump beach for 2 hours where you can snorkle and come back to pick you up to take you to the ship. Very nice for the price.

San Juan only because it was my second time to St. Thomas. We went on a tour in St.Thomas which took you shopping for 2 hours, then to the beach for 2 hours (where you can snorkle for less then 10.00 per person) and back to the ship. it was 25.00 per person and well worth the price. St. Thomas is also a very nice island especially if you are looking to shop.
