Review summary

Loved it! The décor was very elegant. The staff were friendly, courteous and respectful. The ship was very clean. We didn't really care for the evening "after dinner shows". The quality of singers were very poor in comparison to other cruise experiences. We were also very aggravated at the amount of children (9-16/17), that were roaming about the ship unsupervised VERY LATE AT NIGHT. We think its not too responsible of the parents allowing the children to be roaming about with "hoarseplay" so late....anything bad could happen...there should be a curfew if the kids aren't going to be in any of the kid camps. The food was delicious! We would definitely recommend this cruise to others!

Nice that everything was right there to do...swim with dolphins, beach, souvineres, bar, food!

Yea, the area that you get off the tender at isn't very large as far as depth. It's long so when you get off you either turn to the left or to the right! You're immediately bombarded with tour guides trying to sell their "package deals". All of the deals were so expensive so we just walked in and out of the shops and got the next tender back so we could enjoy pool area's and food areas not being so crowded since lots of people had gotten off the shop! We were told 'beyond the gate' the locals were offering better deals. Maybe next time! Glad this helped you out! Have a great vacation!

Thank you so much for your review and info. I keep hearing many complaints about excessive crowds which is concerning, but oh well. Maybe we won't even get off at Belize? I don't know. So looking forward to it.

Mahogany Bay's beach is situated right off the ship. They also had restaurants & shopping. I hope you have great weather! This beach was outstanding! Belize was such a disappointment! Tis was the 2nd cruise we took that stopped in Belize....WAYYYYY TOOOO expensive! Would've loved to see this place. Even the locals that bring the tender over were indirectly begging for money by 'scoping out' people they thought had money then tell them a huge sad sob story.....big turn off! Have a great cruise...the Carnival Dream is a great ship!

For the ports was there beaches and things to do within walking distance. We have 7 of us and don't like to spend extra on taxis etc... I see Costa Maya you said it was right there.. how about the other ports? Going in a few weeks... so excited. Any other tips?
