My husband and I traveled with two other couples on the Carnival Dream for a Seven Day Western Caribbean Cruise. We loved the entertainment and of course, the food was extremely good in the Scarlett Dining Room as well as on the Lido Deck and other food stations around the ship.
There were numerous shore excursions available at each port. The favorite in our crowd was the Zip Line Honduras.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
There was always a lot of selections/choices and all the food was prepared to perfection prior to serving.
Onboard Activities
5 out of 5
If a passenger was bored on this ship, it was simply because they did not seek out the many opportunities for fun activities. There were available for all ages.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
We enjoyed the shows and entertainment but wished there had been more nightly shows.
Service and Staff

Ship Quality
5 out of 5
I personally have been on numerous cruises and the decor on this ship was fantastic, and so different from all the others.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our Steward went above and beyond to maintain our cabin numerous times each day.
Ship tip
The only suggestion that I have about this ship would be to try to avoid taking a cruise in August. There were numerous kids and young children all over the ship, in the elevators, running in the hallways with no apparent parental supervision.
Port Canaverall is our favorite because it is located only 1 1/2 hours from home. We can drive over, park the car and walk across the street to the port. Very simple process.
We took a van trip around the island that was narrated. We learned a lot about the history, culture and progress being made there. Highly recommend the van trip.
We love this island, especially the Zip Line excursion and also the chair lift that takes you over to a sandy beach where you can spend the day. There was plenty of food and facilities there. However, there was a second ship in the port that overloaded the beach area. They were very short on chairs.
