Review summary

With 4500 fellow cruisers, I expected many more attractions than on smaller Carnival ships. The tiny pools were such a disappointment. We appreciated the amazing staff; our room stewards and dining room waiters were exceptional!

Sparky, Wanpen ("One Pen"), Kitty and Chinathip absolutely made the cruise for us! Their warm, friendly personalities were such fun and we enjoyed every encounter with them!

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

We didn't get to stop at Costa Maya because of tropical depression; I enjoyed it tremendously on a previous visit.

Don't Miss: Shopping and enjoying the huge pool (with swim up bar)!

Again, the cookie-cutter stores make the different ports of call begin to seem like the same place... If you don't like to tender in to port (ride in a smaller ship), skip Belize.

Be sure and go beyond the cookie-cutter shops the cruise lines have at their docks. The town (a short cab drive away) is filled with beauty and wonderful shops.

Don't Miss: Find the town square--it's only a block or two away from the main road in town and worth it!
