A extraordinary cruise

Sail Date: February 18, 2007

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

The itinerary was one of the best ever. The food was good. The entertainment was non-stop. Carnival Destiny has upgraded their rooms with very comfortable bedding and robes in every room (patrons really enjoyed the robes). The beds were amazingly comfortable, home away from home. Even though the ship was fillled to capacity, there was no long uncomfortable lines. Everything was smooth sailing. Islands are back to back with last day at sea which is great.

Pros: The itinerary

Cons: Believe there was smoking next door to our stateroom. Didn't like that!

Recommends Carnival Destiny (RETIRED)? Yes!

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Coco Beach was amazing. Clearest water. Shopping at the port was great.

OMG. Amazing island. Beach has the whitest sand I've ever seen.
Don't Miss: Horseback riding tour that leaves from the beach. AMAZING!
Dominica
Have to go on a tour of the island. We didn't do a tour through the ship. We hired a taxi along with other patrons for less than half the price of an excursion.
Don't Miss: I hear the beach has black sand. Emerald Pool is Trafalgar Falls is amazing.
Bridgetown, Barbados
Unbelievable island. Beach to go to is The Blue Monkey.
Don't Miss: Scuba diving is a must! Lots of sea creatures.
Castries, St. Lucia
Friendly people. Requin Beach was amazing.
Don't Miss: Water sports at beach especially water tubing - hold on!!!
