Review summary

Overall not the best experience. We had hoped for so much more in the dining room. Each night they promised that the next would be better, but it never was. We also did not like that there was smoking in the casino. The casino was right in the middle of the ship and the smell took over adjoining hallways which we needed to use.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Dining room seemed to be very under staffed. Food coursing was not very well timed and scattered. Food had to be sent back because it arrived cold. It once we are asked if we wanted a drink with diner, and had to clean up our own plates so they could put our next course down. Very little to eat after 10:30, which meant extremely long lines for food.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment was excellent (was not a huge fan of the comedians, but others did) we bought the gym membership that was marketed as 49.99 for the 6 days(of a 7 days cruise) then when we were billed, we were charged $79.99 + gratuity, which when we brought that up to the managers, they said was that this form was mandatory to put up, but was meant for the 5 day cruises, so they required to charge more because this was a 7 day. They admitted that the page was not right and still said we are S.O.L

Wish you better luck next time

Is it possible they meant the spa? I have never understood the uproar about food after 10:30. Most folks don't eat full meals after 10:30 at home, so why is it such an issue on a ship?

The gym is free they r idiots. Specialty classes come with a charge

I thought the gym was free not something you pay for. Other people that used it and gave their review never mentioned it being a charge

SeanCrock, I believe your review is a crock of beans. The Conquest was one of our favorite ships. Food in MDR was absolutely delicious every night. We had a great time. Didn’t care much for the shows but that’s not why we cruise. Cruising is the best vacation ever.
