Review summary

Great time spent with family. I just wish I could have worked after buying the internet package on a safe, on board computer with more privacy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
NOT impressed with the slow service in the main dining room - The Monet. We had a 6pm dinner time and food was not served until almost 7pm and then we were in a rush to get to the other end of the boat for a 7:30pm show. I had booked the earlier dinner to avoid this. Also food was not that great. Friday night I ordered prime rib with baked potato & the potato was not edible - too hard & not cooked. In getting the food so late, if you wanted dessert, we felt rushed out & unable to enjoy coffee with our dessert as the next seating was 8pm. In the future I will eat on the Lido deck. Service up there was 5 stars!!!

Ship tip

If you plan to work while on board this ship, bring your own lap top or tablet. The ship's computers are NOT in a "designated area" & are located on the main floors for all to see as they walk by. I decided to work only from my personal cell phone so as not to expose any of my client's private information to anyone walking behind me. The computers are located IN THE OPEN in the hallway right by the casino (heavily traveled are) & in the lobby right across from the excursion desk. Also heavily traveled area. I don't understand why there is a room with a door called the "library" where people can play cards or board games but there is not a designated, more secure, area for the computers for the guests to use. I will not use this ship again solely for this reason. I will be more inquisitive as to where computers are located 1st before sailing.

Glad you had a good cruise. Thanks for the great review.

It seems that most of the cruise lines are moving public computers to well-trafficked areas, apparently in order to discourage long sessions by one person on a limited set of stations. It also discourages porn access and vandalism according to a crew member I asked. As to the MDR, did you arrive promptly at 6pm? We have found that we have to do that in order to eat early and get to the shows. We, too, like to linger over coffee as we ask for a large table to meet new friends. I hope your future cruises will be happy ones!!

Love the Conquest

I take a cruise to get away and decompress so the computers are not an issue for me at all.

I think this is a very fake review. No. Cruises listed or any pictures. We were on the Conquest in March and absolutely loved it. Everything was great. The steward was able to connect our balcony with my daughter and her family ‘s balcony and we had one huge balcony. Our cabin was very spacious for the two of us and the air and plumbing worked fine. Dinner in the MDR was delicious every night. Everything. We even ate breakfast there. Only used the buffet for salad or desserts. For lunch used Guy’s Burgers, The Deli or pizza, all very good. I understand on most ships the internet is not that great but a vacation is a vacation. You shouldn’t be working.

Glad you enjoyed your cruise. Not sure which ships and/or cruise lines have a designated area for privacy while using the public computers. That is a great question to ask. Hope you find what you are looking for. Sad that you need to work while cruising , but glad you can cruise while working!😏
