Review summary

The cruise would be fantastic if it went out of Port Canaveral.

Embarkation

It was terrible. Port Everglades did not have the terminal properly marked and we ended up exiting the port and having to reenter. When we turned around to reenter the security people were checking people's car trunks. We had been issued a pass at the other entrance but were still made to go through another check in procedure. Once we found the terminal we pulled up where a porter was loading luggage onto a cart from a vehicle. He told us we could not unload there, but had to go down to the end behind where there was a bus. We did that and unloaded our 2 large bags, carry-on bag, and my mobility scooter. My husband then went to park our vehicle in the parking lot, not realizing that there was not a single porter in sight. The bus left and I saw a sign that said Handicapped Assistance with approximately 8 people standing around. I was about 75 feet away from them with all our luggage and on my scooter and not a single person came to assist me. I managed to get my luggage rolling alongside my scooter and made my way up to where they were located. They told me that I had to go around the corner to enter the terminal. Not a SINGLE person offered to help. They were to busy having their conversation with each other. As I entered the terminal someone finally started over and asked to help, at which time my husband arrived. We told them we thought we could make it and they scanned our boarding passes and just pointed the way to the elevators. As we were trying to rush we started to have difficulties. (FYI we had anticipated checking our luggage with the porter and have them deliver it.) We passed several Carnival employees and again no one offered assistance. By the time we managed to get on the ship I was so frustrated with the embarkation process that I told my husband that I would never sail from Ft. Lauderdale again. (This was our 6th time of going out of this port)

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The dining rooms are nice; however, if you eat at the Money dining room, you cannot go across deck 3 from one end of the ship to the other because the galley is between the 2 restaurants.

This was an handicapped cabin. The bathroom was great; however, there was only about 12 to 18 inches on each side of the bed to get out.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

I didn't do an excursion as I used to live in Fort Lauderdale. The port is such a mess that navigation is difficult.
