Review summary

I will never cruise with carnival again. I have been on plenty of cruises and this was by far the worse cruise ever. Between the ceilings dripping, in cabin refrigerator not working, the air conditioning in the room not working , air Conditioning on the boat not working, nasty attitudes of staff members, terrible variety of food and limited amounts of food and food sections open, availability of staff in pool areas... just to name a few... and I'm a gold member... so it's safe to say, I've been on a few... never again... with carnival. This Carnival Conquest is terrible. I also got married 2 years ago on the Carnival Valor and that ship is awful too.

Air didn't work, refrigerator didn't work, and I got charged for pool towels that I didn't even have. Never again...

I love carnival! I have been on other cruise lines. But carnival is my favorite. Sure I wouldn't mind going on an fancy cruise too pricy. But carnival Is a lot of fun and is worth the money. The people on the work their butts off!!!!! I did have a minor issue on the last cruise I was on but it was resolved. The carnival staff is very accommodating! Can't wait to go again in December!!!!

You are so right this ship needs to be overhauled.I could not shut my AC off and I had a dirt ring around my toilet I gave it one star to Carnival never again

My husband and I were on the Conquest a month ago, and the only negative issue we had was our room air conditioning was not working properly. We told our steward, Marco, and he immediately reported it and they had it working by the time we came back from port! Never seen any leaking ceilings. The staff was more than helpful and courteous to us at all times! The food was good - and plentiful!

We just got off end of July and really enjoyed the cruise. The buffet wasn't anything to write home about but the dining room was delicious, guys burgers rocked, delicious was great, and blue iguana yummy. It was a great vacation

We had fun on the conquest! There are things that could be better about the ship but considering the amount of people who sail every week, they do a pretty good job. Norwegian ships sparkle, but the captain would not shake my hand so that wasn't cool.

We went on the Conquest in July. It was wonderful! Our room was great and everything worked perfectly. The staff was always polite and went out of their way to help. We ate in the dining room every night but 1, the food was excellent and the servers were amazing! We ate in the Steak house for our anniversary and it was amazing, as well. I realize it is an older ship but we were very happy.

my wife and I have been on 2 cruises so far, have 2 booked for 2017. we have had nothing to say badly about Carnival. to the point our last cruise we were talking about renewing our wedding vows on the ship but the date we wanted was not good for them. so we let it go, the day of our wedding ann. a lady from the ship approached us and asked if it was true that we wanted to this and we told them yes, well she went out of her way to st it all up a room the photagrafer , the Captain of the ship, then came to us and told us to get ready for us to renew our vows. every one that knew about it on the ship and it did spread fats with crew mate went out of there way to do it for us. it was the best cruise of our lives. It was what we really needed as we had just lost our daughter not long before this cruise. that no one knew about. they made us feel great and made us want to live again. I will cruise with Carnival for a very long time.

The fact of the matter is the vast majority of people who take the time to post a review will be due to a negative experience. People who have a happy and positive experience usually just keep quiet and move on to the next thing. It's a simple marketing statistic and psychological trait. But yes, there are those with basic narrsisstic behavior that need the last word and constant attention and will say anything.

I love carnival period. I compare to other cruises and ships all the time, overall Carnival delivers the best value,ships, food,service and ports in the cruise industry. If I have and issue or problem they usually go out of there way to resolve it.

These ships have many moving parts and there is always going to be something broke. I've been on the newer ships and they are the same, things brake. There are a lot of people on and off these ships every day.

Sure I did. I also read bad reviews on many other cruise lines here on Ship Mate. With those bad reviews I also read the good reviews. I realize that no ship or line is perfect so I just don't see the need to ever talk badly about a whole cruise line in general.

You never hesitate to bad mouth them. I can understand a person having a favorite cruise line but I don't understand why one has to trash another line just because it isn't their top pick. When and if I do chose to try a different cruise line, I won't feel the need bad mouth Carnival even if I liked it better. I have enough class not to try to rain on someone else's parade for no good reason.

Debmike. ..yes I will follow Carnival to see if they are improving or going downhill. No I don't hate Carnival and it's my decision what, where,etc.to comment. Maybe you should try different cruise line and then you have something to compare and maybe then you will realize what some of us are talking about.

I was just on the Conquest in January and had an amazing time! Food everywhere, friendly staff, comfortable room, etc. Sorry you had a bad experience. Maybe you should try a different, more expensive cruise line if you're that unhappy.

I went on the paradise- another older, smaller ship- but didn't experience any trouble on that boat- I don't fault the staff on the conquest - I fault the supervision - No one cares everyone is just walking around ,

If u read the last 60 Reviews and comments / over half give it poor ratings. I am sure the boat itself could come along way- if the proper people gave it some attention .
