Review summary
The cruise was great, the food good, the entertainment made better by one awesome Cruise Director, Mike.
Biggest drawback - banging noise in the cabin that started at 6:30 a.m. every day and continued through the day until 7 or 8 pm. The cabin was essentially unusable. Guest services made an adjustment on the cost of the cruise, and that was good but did nothing to rectify the noise. We investigated and determined that the noise was coming from the galley above and a dishwasher that ran continuously from breakfast through dinner. We notified guest services of the problem but again little was done.
It's a shame that a beautiful, romantic cruise should be marred by intrusive noise that, in my humble opinion, was a maintenance issue that could easily have been resolved.

Ship tip
Stay away from midships deck 8 on starboard side. Noisy area of carts rolling and dishwasher noise.
