Review summary

Ship very dated, needs a lot of work. Food was mediocre at best, with the exception of Sabatinis, which was excellent. Entertainment was very good.

Food was below average with the exception of Sabatinis. Buffet had one omelette station in the morning for 3000 guests. MDR breakfast service was very slow, food arrived mostly cold. Never offered coffee refills. Bar service was good.

Cabin is small, but clean. Tiny shower.

Ship tip

This ship is very outdated and in need of major rehab. I would avoid until after next shipyard visit.

Visited Waterford Crystal factory, very impressive. Mostly all handmade products, which explains prices. Had lunch there, very good, not too expensive.

Visited Titanic museum on Princess excursion, only had two hours at museum, very crowded. Unable to see or read a lot of the exhibits because of crowd size and time restraints.

Excursion to Scottish highlands, long bus ride. Met Duke of Argyle while touring his castle/home. The highlands are beautiful, even in the rain and fog.

My post stated when I looked the price was in the high $30s. If your RCCL was $170 and dropped to 30s that’s $140 drop I guess they are the best. It’s ok you keep them.

Stick with Norwegian Princess doesn't deserve you went on same cruise and had a great time ship crew best ever

@booger....totally not true , look at Royal Caribbean stock price. They have increased 5.5x since the pandemic Current price around $170/share from a pandemic low of approximately $30/share. Map out both stocks on a chart. Carnival Corp is just a poorly run organization.

Sailed on caribbean princess in june 2024 for 16 nights to the Norwegian fjords and the Arctic circle. First time on her. Everything was excellent. No complaints from me. No issues with the condition of the ship. Would not hesitate to cruise on her again. 👍🇬🇧🚢🛳🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

The lower stock price is mainly a result of the pandemic. I watched the prices start to fall when there was an outbreak on the Diamond Princess. When first looked at the price it was in the high $30s. All the cruise lines suffered great losses. When you have 2 1/2 years with no revenue you have a tendency to be hurt financially and if you haven’t noticed nothing is the same as 10 years ago!

If you've only taken one cruise since the pandemic, you'll probably realize the new "average" for all lines is lower than the old. We can argue which line is better, but a common theme on all these different reviews is "this used to be better"

We stopped cruising with Princwss 10 years ago. They are part of a financially struggling corporation and have instituted cost cutting across their company and it is reflected in their product and service. The proof is in their stock price.

It's a good thing that all 3000 passengers weren't ordering omelets, so basically a moot point. I cruised on Caribbean Princess and had a great time, with great service and great food, sadly you were too bust complaining about everything to enjoy the cruise
