We will be on our first back-2-back cruise coming up in a couple months. It's something I have wanted to do. But I didn't think about the repeated shows. Thanks for sharing.

Wait until you realize you can go on that same Cruise 6 months later and it's the same menu rotation and the same shows

We look forward to back-to-back cruises. Obviously, the shows are going to largely repeat during the second half, as the staff performs the shows for which they have been trained. We see the shows we like the best a second time and do things on the second leg we were not able to do on the first leg. The menu is varied enough so that we do not have to eat the same things again unless we want to.

Correct, it's called a B2B, and passengers who stay on fir next cruise do not have to go through customs. When the time comes to disembark, they are led to a waiting area until the ship is cleared to start embarkation. Unless you go on a cruise that is not cruising the same area over and over for a season, you will most likely have repeating entertainment.

The getting off the ship and going through customs is a customs requirement not the cruise line. The ship has to be completely emptied of passengers before reembarking can take place. You don’t have to take your luggage with you.

Back 2 back cruises are wonderful, each to their own.

It's called Back to Back, not a split cruise.

Weird. We didn’t have to go thru customs…if I remember correctly. Got off, got back on. Easy

Not really feasible for ships to change their shows and menus every week, and most passengers won’t be doing a b2b anyway so no need. At least you know now it’s not for you!

Appreciate your feedback. Sorry this type of cruising isn’t for you.

yvettecruz02     6 months ago

Do they make you take your luggage with you?

Normal procedure for a b2b (back to back).
