Review summary

This was the 7th time we did this particular itinerary - it was as relaxing and enjoyable as the previous 4 - the first two we did excursions at every port (they were very good)

Embarkation

5 out of 5
zipped right in, picked up our Medallions, sat for about 15 minutes, then to our cabin by 11:20

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
MDR was very good. we had reserved a table for 2 for every night so didn't have to wait for more than a couple of minutes Service was excellent. My wife has many food allergies and the team made sure that dinners were ordered and served to meet her needs. They even made a special dessert each evening for her. Several dishes were different than what I expected, but nevertheless, still very enjoyable The buffet for breakfast and lunch didn't have as many varieties as on the Royal class ships but we always found more than enough choices. We liked the idea of a worker giving you a plate and napkin/silverware as you entered the area as compared with the napkins/silverware sitting in a holder on each table As usual, there were some people that would load up their plate to almost overfilling and then barely eating anything- after all, it's "free" - what a waste

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
We don't join in most activities - prefer to read and relax - the big exceptions are going to Trivia, the shows, and the casino

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The show entitled "Bravo" is our favorite. We'll even see it twice when we do back to back cruises. The other stage show (Broadway) is very good. Unlike some other cruise lines, the shows use a live band/orchestra. One complaint is that at times, the music is too loud and overshadows the singers Comedians, comedic magician, and singers were all top notch

Children's Programs

my youngest kid is 52 y.o. LOL

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Can't say enough about the service and the workers. Even those that wipe down handrails, elevators, etc. will greet you with a smile

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
YES but not enough ashtrays in the smoking section of the casino and they weren't emptied often enough -

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
other than not enough electrical outlets, everything was perfect

Ship tip

Men - on Formal nights in the MDR, don't hesitate to only wear slacks and a collared shirt if you don't feel like getting all dressed up

Ports of call

Falmouth, Jamaica

3 out of 5
just shopped - about 15-20% of the stores were empty

Cartagena, Colombia

3 out of 5
just shopped in the only port store - lots of flamingos, parrots, peacocks etc wandering around as you entered or exited the store

Puerto Limon, Costa Rica

2 out of 5
no excursion - the one port area has an open air locals market - all souvenir stuff

George Town, Grand Cayman

4 out of 5
just walked around a bit - visited some stores

Disembarkation
