Embarkation

4 out of 5
If you have completed all the Medallion embarkation documents online the boarding of the ship went very fast. I was able to go directly to my room and the medallion opened the door. My bags arrive within 15 minutes to my room. Great way to enter the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
I had the all-inclusive drink and food package. Ordering drinks was easy with the medallion. You are limited to 15 drinks a day and drinks that cost less than $12 but that was no problem for me. I am not a heavy drinker. I did enjoy a few glasses of wine at dinner.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
I only used activities that were outside. There was many pools and no trouble using them nor the hot tubs. Not large crowds using the pool

Entertainment

3 out of 5
They entertainment was a little less than I expected. Due to Covid the shows are smaller and sometimes just a single singer. I was ok with this knowing Covid was still around

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
My Grandkids loved Kid's club. there were 45 kids that got along well together. Camp Counselors keep the kids active. some night when at sea kids could go until 10 pm which allow us to go to shows without them. They preferred kids camp

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Staff was great. Everyone is trying very hard. I could tell that staff is a little short right now but that is everywhere. We had no issues

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Everything was great. this ship was updated with Medallion Class. This allowed you to use you app for things like ordering food, finding your shipmates on the ship and making dinner reservation on your schedule.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This is a mini suite, WE had twin beds and large seating area. Mid ship and very comfortable

Ship tip

Make sure you have your Medallion delivered and use your Medallion App to upload your preboarding documents. Look for some video on how to use the app before you get on the ship. this will make you cruise much easier if this is the first time crise on a medallion class ship

Ports of call

Norfolk, Virginia

When to Williamsburg. About 1 hour bus ride and then you get to roam around yourself. A lot of history there. Good places to eat.

Brooklyn, New York

WE did the statue of liberty/ellis island tour. Then if you do not take the bus back it is only about a 10 minute walk from Battery Island to the Freedom tower. this is worth going to. We took an Uber back to ship at a cost of about $20

Newport, Rhode Island

4 out of 5
Nice town to walk around. we took the free shuttle bus to the coast and tour some mansions. Walk the coastal trail back to town.

Boston, Massachusetts

Uber to the freedom walk and got a free maps at the visitor center there. Taking Uber cheaper than the tour price for a bus. We only did about 3/4 of walk before getting tried so took Uber back to ship. Lots to see and some much history. You can listen to app on Iphone to hear people telling you about the different stops.

Bar Harbor, Maine

Ship does not tell you there is a free shuttle 3 block from port that takes you to Acadia National Park. Oldest on east Coast 47,00 Acres. ok at free maps they will give you to determine what router you want. You can get off and hike or just stay on bus. Buses pick up every 20 to 30 minutes. beautiful scenery. Get off the bus and take a walk. You are suppose to have a park pass that you buy ate the visitor center. I notice many people did not know this and they let them on the bus anyway.

Saint John, New Brunswick

4 out of 5
Small lovely town. Easy to walk around and take in some historical building on your own. Take the Hop on Hop off bus. You can sign-up in port easily. Takes you to all the major places to see in St John. If you time if right, you will see the Bay of Fundy where they have the highest and lowest tides in the world.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

4 out of 5
Easy to walk boardwalk. Can walk to Maritime Museum of the Atlantic. Walking to ST Paul's Cathedral. lot's to do on the pier. you can rent seadoos, take sailboat rides.

Sydney, Nova Scotia

4 out of 5
Easy town to walk and just see the sights.

Quebec City, Quebec

4 out of 5
There was a shuttle bus from the port to old town. There you can walk into the walled old town city and go in some building that were built in the late 1700's. The Churches are great. Stop in to see the Fairmont hotel.

Disembarkation

Great. We waited 5 minutes for our group to be called, picked up our luggage and was on a bus to the airport in under 30 minutes.
