I will cruise princess again. They have a loyal customer. Wish their casino rewards were better. 7000 points in the casino for the week And their offer was an interior state room with $250 free play. Not impressed. Oh and I’ll get to it later but the internet is lacking.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Embarkation went smooth for the most part. The whole green lane thing on the app had your mind thinking one thing and the porters were quick to tell you that you were wrong. So here you go from thinking that you did all the prep work ie uploading your passport vaccination proof and so on to standing in a huge line. Not a vacation ruiner just an annoyance.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
What can I say about the food other then WOW! Princess has came through again and everyone in our group just loved their selection and quality.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
I went to the magic show. Wife woke me up. Now from my understanding the magician did three different shows on the boat but card tricks to a large audience wasn’t that impressive to me. The singers on board were great.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The game shows we’re fun for the most part. Check them out on the ship. They are pretty entertaining.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
We had an issue our first 2 nights. The ac wasn’t working in our room and apparently wasn’t working on the whole floor. It was stifling. Guest services did what they could and it was fixed on our first port day.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Don’t take the three stars as the ship is not clean. They do an amazing job keeping the ole girl up and running. She really is a head turner. Beautiful ship. BUT……….. princess really had me excited for this medallion app and internet. I’m sorry but it’s hot garbage. Sure when it’s working it’s great. So 1 day we had a useful app. The internet rivals dial up speed. This is my favorite part. So they encourage you to use the app and order food. They’ll find you anywhere on the ship. Nope. They will make you wait 1 to 1 and 1/2 hours then tell you your food was delivered. Not to you. Somewhere but it was a successful delivery. USPS is more dependable then their room service. Very disappointing.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
It’s a cabin. It’s clean. Has a balcony. Bed was great.
Ship tip
The only real issues I had was the internet and the tenders. To be fair I get we are in the middle of the ocean but other cruise lines I have been on have blazing fast internet.
We did a chocolate and wine tasting. It was informative. They really went above and beyond with us. They even showed us how the Mexican people deal with accidents. Our cab got into a accident on the way to the excursion with us in it. No paperwork exchanged. Apparently in Mexico you yell at the person, look at the damage and drive off. Much more streamlined then in the states. Wine was very tasty and chocolate well that was tasty too. Got to make our own chocolate and bring it home with us. The lecture was informative.
Did a snorkeling excursion. So they took us to this island. Have you wrap a old fashioned life jacket around your waist so you look ridiculous. Then they take all 150 and bring you out into the ocean to have you “snorkel”. Pretty fish although I’m not convinced they were using us to film a ship wreck movie because that’s what we looked like. A ship wreck.
The water shuttle experience wasn’t the greatest. Left us on the tender for 45 minutes while trying to get people back on the ship after excursions. Thank you medallion app. 😮💨. Still waiting to disembark off the ship itself. My wife’s snoring is keeping me up so I figured I’ll write the review.
I also had 7000+ points in the casino and got the same offer. They don’t compare to Royal as far as the casino offers. But I will still cruise Princess
