Review summary

Wonderful cruise, great ship. We are from New Jersey, so didn't spend time before in NYC, but many people did.

Embarkation

New Medallion makes things so easy. Not a 5 because they delayed boarding for cleaning because of one of those gastrovirus things. We are platinum, so we're still on pretty early.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Palm dining was great. Hard to find at first though. International cafe was terrific. Only ate at buffet twice dokie breakfast early un cruise. Because of the gastrovirus issue we couldn't serve ourselves, use salt and pepper or put our own milk in coffee. Pretty weird. All back to normal in a few days. Oh, someone had a dog in buffet dining area, which really irks me.

Crooners Martini Bar

5 out of 5

Bartenders are excellent, location is great.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Really didn't do any. Oh, trivia game was ok.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Theatre was full many nights and couldn't get in. Ziggy at Crooners was great, but sometimes they had two girls playing the violin, kind of weird at a bar. Guitar player some nights was great.

Children's Programs

No kids with us.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Bar tenders at Crooners, the best!! Also, at Vines!

Ship Quality

Hard to find Palm Dining Room.

Cabin / Stateroom

Tiny, but we knew it would be. Bed was fine, pretty noisy.

Did the Breakers and Marble House. Just amazing. Then hung out at an outdoor bar at the pier.

Boston, Massachusetts

The history. Did Lexington, Concord, Cambridge, Quincy Market, Freedom Trail, Old North Church, all wow.

Bar Harbor, Maine Did not visit port

Weather, this killed me. Have never been to Maine. Really wanted to go to Acadia National Park.

Saint John, New Brunswick Did not visit port

Weather. Have been here before. The reversing river is hard to explain. The low tides and high tides are incredible.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

5 out of 5
Did the Peggy's Cove/Halifax tour with lunch. Maritime museum, Citadel, garden, lobster roll for lunch. Again, wow.

Sydney, Nova Scotia

No excursion, there on Sunday, mostly closed shops. Ate at Governor's Pub. Great entertainment and food and bar.

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island

4 out of 5
No excursion. Walked on our own. Lovely place. Have the ice cream!!

Quebec City, Quebec

5 out of 5
Did the all day tour with lower town, upper town, St. Anne's church, falls, lunch. Unbelievable place. You would think you were in Europe.

Disembarkation

It was annoying to get a taxi. Huge line. We stayed over night at the Chateau Frontenac.
