Review summary

It was my first cruise on a Princess ship. Overall the cruise was disappointing and I will not book another Princess cruise.

Food and Dining

Service in the main dining room was slow. Orders were mixed up several times. Got tired of waiters trying to sell alcoholic beverages.

Onboard Activities

Finding a unoccupied deck chair was impossible. If the chair was unoccupied it was being " saved " for someone. Fitness center was modern and clean. Karaoke is always fun, but only a few passengers participated.

Entertainment

Production shows were outstanding, but the theater filled up quickly and I had to stand in the back for several performances.

Theater filled up quickly. If you want a seat arrive a hour before show.

Cabin Steward was excellent. Waiters in dining room were average. Waiters in the buffet were excellent. I did get tired of waiters trying to sell alcoholic beverages.

Cabin was very small. Bathroom shower was very small with little room for personal soap and shampoo.

Ship tip

The passengers were mostly older senior citizens. There were several medical emergencies that required ship to arrive in Cartegena hours ahead of schedule. The medical emergencies weren't surprising considering the the number of passengers using oxygen, wheelchairs, walkers, etc. Book another cruise if you enjoy lively upbeat passengers and activities.

Stayed on ship to view the passage through the Panama Canal. Moving around the ship gave me excellent views.

Just a stop to pick up passengers. No excursions were offered

Excursion was cancelled and I was not offered option to rebook another excursion.

Did not book excursion through ship. The $20 excursion that I found at port was not rushed. Driver gave a excellent overview of the island.

That's so sad. We cruised the same ship around the UK last year. We found all services excellent, if not better. The shows were awesome. There was times of standing room only, but if you arrive early enough then that was avoided.

Notices are posted that you are not allowed to save chairs. I had no problem telling people free up the chair and they did. Don’t be afraid you paid just like them to be on that cruise.

Cruising is the best! On Caribbean princess this April 11 for 10 days! Only cruise with princess going to be my 8 th cruise!
