Cruise was nice overall. A nice experience to have. I would try a different cruise line next time though.
Embarkation
3 out of 5
Embarkation was just okay. Me & everyone around me were told to get out our birth certificates/passports and licenses but then were told we “were holding up the line” while getting them out of our bags. Then a woman walked down I believe an express walk area and was commanded to get back in the other line because it won’t be any faster.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

I ate at the buffet everyday, ate at the Salty Dog Grill about three times and got pizza a couple times. The buffet was better than I expected it was going to be based on reviews I had seen of others. They always tried to have different foods everyday and always had good desserts. The Salty Dog Grill had good fries. I asked for a cheeseburger each time and always just got a hamburger but that’s not a huge deal considering they are dealing with huge lines all the time. My friend got pepperoni pizza from the pizza place about three times and couldn’t eat it two of the times because it smelled and tasted of chemicals. I got cheese pizza and never had that problem.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
I knew from previous reviews that all activities aboard were geared toward older people and that was for sure. I went to the Princess Theater once for The Voice of the Ocean show which was very entertaining. The Hotel Manager was one of the judges and he was very funny. Other than that I went to the casino a couple times, Movie Under the Stars once as the movies playing were not very interesting to me.

Service and Staff

Most of the waiters in the buffet were pretty friendly. My room steward was super sweet about the first three days and then got less nice each day. I left her a tip the second day (I wrote a note asking her to please accept the tip as a thank you) and she did not take it so I did not try to offer a tip again. She did her job the whole time so the unfriendliness was not a huge deal just something I thought was strange. When I would see a worker in the hall or elevator they would always say hello.
Ship Quality

My cabin looked more updated than I expected based on other reviews I had read. I was impressed seeing the railings on my deck being cleaned one day. Another day I saw a steward scrubbing a cabin door. They have a hand washing station as you enter the buffet.
Cabin / Stateroom

The bed was very comfortable. I like how they have a sheet on both sides of the comforter as a way to make it more clean. The one nightstand had some red liquid dried up in the drawer as if wine or some red drink got spilled inside and not cleaned properly but that’s not a big deal. The air conditioner could be a little colder but was as expected based on others reviews. Since this room is at the front of the ship you can feel the waves a lot and the wall vibrates when the anchor is going up or down. One of the nights there were extremely loud banging noises that would happen two at a time and vibrate the back wall the bed was against. After two hours I called the office and asked them if they knew why that would happen. They sent someone to my cabin and the guy didn’t wait to hear the noise and just said it was because of the waves and left the cabin. I do not believe it was just from the waves as there were other nights the waves were big and this noise did not happen and there’s no reason it would happen in bangs of two every single time if it was waves. One night our cabin did not have any water but by morning we had water again. I over heard others saying their water was brown the next day but luckily mine was not.
Due to the Panama Canal taking so long to get through (not the ships fault) the people onboard were not allowed to get off at this port as we arrived too late in the night.
I loved this port. Getting to overlook Limon from the open deck was really cool. The ship was backed right up to the shore which I really liked as a lot of the other ports have a tender since we couldn’t get close to shore.
Had to be out of our cabin at 8am but couldn’t disembark until 10am because we had a princess transfer to the airport. So at 8am we ate breakfast at the buffet. The paper stated the buffet would be open until 9am but they closed it off at 8:30am. You could still sit in the dining area but couldn’t get any more food. Then we had to wait around until we could go through US customs. It was a pretty fast process considering how many thousands of people are getting off the ship.
