Review summary

This was our 1st time on Princess & we were impressed. Well run with a very professional & courteous staff. All the ports were great, but with 5 ports, one after the other, there wasn't much down time. We opted for the Anytime dining & we really enjoyed meeting different people at every meal. The Santuary, an adult only (not topless) additional fee area at the front of the ship, was a pleasant surprise & if we hadn't gotten off at every port we would have taken advantage of it.

Ports of call

Castries, St. Lucia

Beautiful island but we opted for some shopping. Then we went back to the dock area, where there was a few shop & bar stands. With the local beer, Piton, available for 2 for $3.00, my wife & I just hung out, drank some beer, & people watched.

Bridgetown, Barbados

We are not tour type people but we opted for the ship's "Scenic Historic" tour. It was 3.5 hours long & not all that great. The jungle zip line tours were talked about by other passengers & really enjoyed.

St. John's, Antigua

With 3 other couples, we rented a cab for a 3.5 hour tour of the island. He charged $20/person and for an extra $5, he would drop you off at Jolly Beach, & come & get you at a agreed-upon time. Didn't ask for any money until you were done. He was very informative.
Don't Miss: The view from Shirley Heights

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

What can you say about St. Thomas?? Shopping, shopping, shopping!!! Since this was our 5th time here we shopped for an hour or two, then took a cab to Megan's Beach & layed out. We hadn't been there in 6 or 7 years & it is still just as beautiful as ever.

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

Didn't do much here. It was raining so we stopped in at Pussers Landing for a few beers. Around noon it stopped so we rented a cab to the other side of the island to try the beach, This one mountainous island!! The waves were 3-4 footers coming in so swimming was tough to say the least. The wind was blowing pretty good too so I felt like I was getting sand blasted.
Don't Miss: Views from the top of the island

Pros: Huge, well run ship

Cons: One too many ports
