Fantastic cruise

Sail Date: July 28, 2008

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

The embarking of the Princess was very easy and fast. They had told us that the embarking will start after 1:00 but we got at the pier at 11:00 and got in right away.
We went straight to the buffet. Everything is open to your disposal. The room are very clean and excellent service. The pools were a bit crowded but thanks to the movies playing almost all day makes the pass. Lots of different activities that will please almost all ages. I took Line Dancing, it was lots a fun a way to exercises after all that food. The Night shows were just fantastic, especially the comedian. The supper dining was very good but the Coral dining room was faster service. Did not need to wait very long since we had anytime dining. The Palm dining room was very long line ups and the service was long. The excursions with Princess were good. Except for Puerto RIco since we got there very late we could not go to the rainforest or fort. It was a waste to stop. It was only good for a bit of shopping. Meet great people. The ship had kids and young people but not like Carnival so it was more calm. The disembarking went smoothly. Easy to find your luggage at the pier. We had driven to New York from Montreal left our car at the parking of the pier for the whole time we were at the cruise and picked it up at the end to go back home. It costed 174.00 for the whole week. It was cheaper then getting a flight for four people.

Pros: service and entertainment

Cons: Puerto Rico

Recommends Caribbean Princess? Yes!

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Magens Beach and the shops and St. Peters house botanical gardens.
Don't Miss: Magens Bay beach
Grand Turk Island
Margaritaville for the drinks and souvenirs but the best beach is not right of the ship ramp but Governors beach a few minutes with a taxi.
Don't Miss: Governor beach
Road Town, Tortola, B.V.I.
Cane Garden beach
Don't Miss: Cane Garden beach
San Juan, Puerto Rico
Got there late and nothing to do.
