Most wonderful experience by ChellaChris

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Our 5th cruise but by far the best one ever. Cruising is more about the journey than the destination, and we did not want the journey to end. It was wonderful!

Nice little cruise to start on to get the cruise experience. I’ve done 2 smaller European cruises but this was my first with Royal Caribbean which I throughly enjoyed!

Amazing ship, they do need... by Flipflop2124

Sail date: /
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas

Amazing ship, they do need to invest in some new pillows though, food was good... dining room was excellent... windjammer was your typical buffet but still good choices. Could have done with out the annoying children constantly racing up and down the stairs trying to cut you off and pushing every button in the elevators all night long... oh and letting your kids run around like it was a race track in the windjammer screaming at the top of their lungs 😡😳. But all in all a great cruise. Would definitely book this ship again, the crew was all very friendly.

Beautifully, relaxing by Aprilacarter4

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall our cruise was a lot of fun. There were plenty of activities to keep you busy, but also plenty of places for solitude. We used the pool tables and the card room a lot. The staff and crew were friendly and the ship was kept clean. The food in the Minstrel Dining room was wonderful. The Roasted Thyme Chicken was delicious. My daughter and MIL had it 3 nights in a row. I'm ready for another cruise!

Super Caribbean cruise by jrich37055

There's nothing like the wind in your face and the salt in the air with the sapphire blue water and the warm Caribbean sun beating down on you to help you relax.

Our First Cruise -- Now we're hooked. by brucetammy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

This was our first cruise. We were pretty sure we'd like it but didn't realize how much we would like it. We're used to flying to an all-inclusive resort and spending most of our day on the beach. We booked another cruise while on board and can't wait.

Smooth Transatlantic Cruise by CarolHounchell

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

Amazingly smooth cruise while watching hurricanes and storms brewing in the Atlantic. Captain Ante adjusted the course back to Tampa, avoiding all of the storms. Some smooth rocking for a day or so, but otherwise very calm. RC was able to broadcast the Weather Channel after leaving the Azores, which I’m sure calmed a lot of nerves. (mine!) Great cruise director, but few evening activities but that is probably based on the age of many of the travelers. Dining room staff was awesome and by far, the best we have ever had.

If you are looking for excellence in cruising try Viking. by karen90503

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

Don't set your expectations too high. I've cruised on a lot of RCCL ships and this is the first time I can see the decline in service, food quality, etc. They have cut back on the crew and it shows. The crew that remains is great and they will do what they can to help you, please you. I've never said this about RCCL, but you get what you pay for now.

Fabulous way to spend 16 days by 70Vikki70

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

The ship had a very personal, intimate feel. We engaged with most of the entertainment staff and participated in the activities, including a drama class and play, as well as walking a marathon. Because the ship had so many days at sea, they introduced activities that they aren't able to do on shorter cruises, like the Brilliant Race which was their take on the Amazing Race. It was implemented well and a definite highlight of the cruise. We thought that we would get bored on that small of a ship with the long itinerary but it was quite the contrary. Mike Szwajkowski, the cruise director, made sure that we were entertained throughout the cruise. He was the most impressive cruise director that we have had in our 38 cruises. We were so impressed by the cruise that we made sure to book the same ship next November for the transatlantic crossing. Definitely worth our time.

Brilliance of the Seas Transatlantic Cruise by worthykm

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

Royal Caribbean has gone down hill. Food quality is just so so. Beds were very uncomfortable. Entertainment and activities need to be updated, especially for a 16 day cruise. Senior citizens like rock and roll too, enough of the chamber music.

Baltic Cruise Fab by ndeannal

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

This was a good cruise. Be sure if you are going in August September that you bring a few warmer things of clothing. We did bring rain ponchos but didn't need them until the last day, which from what every said was unusual it didn't rain more. I would recommend this cruise for the port of call.
