Nice crossing, not too rough by cruisedoggie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

Overall this was a nice relaxing crossing. The ship could use some updates and window cleaning, you can hardly see out of some of them. I would do this cruise again.

Nice Transatlantic crossing less than full ship by mdfl

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

Brilliance of the Seas is a nice ship, but shows its age. Other Radiance class ships, like Jewel, have been refurbished with updated decor. The Brilliance of the Seas orchestra was great! Mary Jess was amazing!

Brilliance T/A by nikolakis

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

An overall nice cruise .The ship is a little old but perfect size and well designed. Staff was great and the crossing uneventful. The food was good in the Windjammer but not so good in the main DR. Royal Caribbean has improved since Mr .M. Bayley has taken over as CEO.

Beautiful Ports, Unremarkable Ship by amkirsch2000

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

The ports made the cruise worthwhile. The ship was rather unremarkable. Would cruise again from Barcelona on a more interesting ship.

Iberia to Tampa by mgreen542

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Transatlantic

The cruise offered a great number of stops for a repositioning cruise. 8 consecutive sea days is a bit long.

Pre Pandemic Europe by MsMarjorie

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas

There was a lot to see. Exstreamly beautiful Ports. I will not go to Rome again. I lived I'm Italy. The distance from the Port to Rome is two hours and although it's scenic it's too long a trip back & forth. Big big lines if you intend to see the Vatican. Don't miss the Bus !

Lovely Ship Great Crew by PeteTH

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

I have to say the many senior officers that we have seen that participate in the guest events is great to see. A special shout out to Paul Hotel Director, Jaco Food and Beverage Manager and Alistair Executive Chef and many many more that got out and participated in the events with guests. This was the best cruise where senior management on the ship were out and mingling with the passengers – Brilliant.

Sister Cruise 2019 by Ladybug19

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Mediterranean

For the 7 Day Mediterranean Cruise you are basically using the ship as a hotel if you are doing excursions in ports. There is travel time in to the country (away from the sea/port) which is fine. Just be aware. Our shortest excursion was 5 hours. Be aware when booking excursions that many of them involve a great deal of walking. If you do not want / cannot walk a lot - pick excursions accordingly. Also, note the excursions that are wheelchair / handicap accessible if this is an issue for you or your companions. They have some, but many. I cannot express how beautiful this cruise / ports / excursions were for this trip. The history is simply amazing. If you want to have a lot of activities on the ship for younger guests in your group you may want to choose another ship. The Brilliance is a beautiful ship and was perfect for our cruise (60+ years), but I can see young/younger children being bored. Stay out of the Casino!!!! It is very, very small and the machines are very tight! I did not play anything other than the slots. This was a big disappointment from our previous Royal Caribbean cruises.

Amazing Cruise by Fratt

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas

The western Mediterranean cruise was amazing. Be prepared for lots of walking but each port allows for you to take public transportation to get to the advertised city. The cruise staff were all helpful with providing information. Every stop was picturesque and wonderful.

Great Itinerary by Mary49

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Europe - Western Europe

We picked this cruise because of the itinerary and we thoroughly enjoyed it. I guess we have been spoiled by other treats provided to suite guests. The first day we had a bowl of fruit and six stale cookies. The next day some rice crispy treats. Didn’t eat them. That was it! We are use to coming back to our suite in the afternoon to find a little snack or chocolate covered strawberries. Each day was a disappointment. Nothing. We have even received flowers twice, bottles of champagne and wine. Although we did receive a bottle of wine from the concierge, it was bc he was making up for something.

Amsterdam to Barcelona by oorwull

Ship: Brilliance of the Seas

Great cruise - lots of stops which were new to us. Onboard entertainment was very good. Food was excellent and we loved the outdoor eating area at the back of the ship. Would definitely recommend sailing on Brilliance - pity the weather wasn't great
