Review summary

Brilliance of the Seas is a nice ship, but shows its age. Other Radiance class ships, like Jewel, have been refurbished with updated decor. The Brilliance of the Seas orchestra was great! Mary Jess was amazing!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
There was a mixup in our main dining room seating (everyone at our table had issues as well!) and so only went twice. Food in Windjammer was fine. Did not go to any specialty restaurants

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The activities we had onboard the Jewel of the Seas during our spring transatlantic crossing had more enthusiasm from the crew.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Stage shows were good. Mary Jess was GREAT! Brilliance of the Seas Orchestra was really good. The DJ was awful - no energy and no personality. 4 person band with female lead singer in Centrum were mediocre.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Stateroom attendant was awesome! waiters and dining room staff was great! Rob was an engaging Cruise Director!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship is well laid out, but shows its age when compared to Jewel of the Seas.
