Review summary

The cruise offered a great number of stops for a repositioning cruise. 8 consecutive sea days is a bit long.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
We arrived by taxi dropped off the bags and within 20 minutes we were on board. Easy and efficient.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The buffet Windjammer food was really good, especially the Asian Indian and Indonesian fare.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We really did not take part in the physical activities but the trivia games and guest enrichment lectures were outstanding.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The entertainment was hit and miss. The orchestra shined as usual and the singers and dancers were good, although hampered by a tinny sound system. The comedian Etta May was fabulous but the rest of the entertainment did not wow me

Children's Programs

No kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All RC staff are friendly engaging and professional.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I like the Radiance class ships with all the glass and solarium with retractable roof

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Junior suites are spacious and the tub is a big draw.

Ship tip

Enjoy the Viking lounge with its panoramic view

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

5 out of 5
We stayed 3 nights prior to the visit. Although there were still sporadic protests they did not impinge on tourist destinations

Cartagena, Spain

4 out of 5
The ship docks right up against the port. There is a magnificent Roman amphitheater that is worth visiting

Malaga, Spain

5 out of 5
A shuttle bus is required to get into town but then all is near. A gray place to visit. Many tours available

Cadiz (Seville), Spain

5 out of 5
We did not. Is it the city. I star a tour to nearby Seville. Wonderful visit great excursion. The port is the industrial however.

Lisbon, Portugal

5 out of 5
Lisbon is a truly beautiful port. The ship has overnighted which allowed us to enjoy a fabulous meal

Ponta Delgada, Azores

5 out of 5
Beautiful weather we just walked around the town

Tampa, Florida Did not visit port

Final destination so no visit

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and orderly. Not a lot of taxis however
