THIS CRUISE by SuperSandy

I usually cruise with Royal Caribbean. I have loved everything about them. I would not recommentd this ship. I expect more from RC.

Decent first cruise by lookcamera

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I think drink packages should be included in the cost of the rooms, what a pain to have to buy everything separate. And just when you think you have spent all the money you need to for the trip, entertainment cost more, internet cost more, it seemed like every where you turned it was more money.

Christmas Cruise 2019 by jmcqhughes

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas

Our 3rd cruise with RCCL and honestly our least favorite ship. That’s not meant to be a negative, it’s only that we now know that that we prefer the newer, bigger ships that we’ve sail (Oasis and Anthem). We chose the ship based upon dates and port we would be near, so that’s how we ended up on Brilliance. In our book any day on a cruise ship is a good day, so overall we had a wonderful time 😊

Rocking the Night Away by Marsirena

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

I can't say this was my best cruise. However I did enjoy myself. I found the demographic of people taking 4 day over the weekend ( and almost on a holiday) not to be for me. But that is not the fault of the cruise, that is my learning curve being relatively new to cruising and still experimenting with likes and dislikes. I liked my oceanview room and having a balcony on this trip with the bad weather would have been useless anyway. It was a cruise so I was happy. Eventhough I am not prone to seasickness, the constant rocking did keep my stomach just a tad bit off the whole trip, but not enough to slow me down. The Brilliance was a beautiful ship with Fantastic views everywhere! I would love to go on her again in better weather and for a longer period of time to get a true feel for her.

What’s left to say? We had a great cruise that was an excellent value with room, dining, entertainment, a beautiful port and a great view from our balcony.

New Ship, New Adventures, Good Time by KarenChris2006

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We wanted to take a cruise to go from gold to platinum prior to our May 2020 cruise, so we grabbed a quick hitter. Smaller then what we were use to, but it was okay, not mind blowing, just okay. We probably will not do the smaller ones any more. The interior cabin was okay, once again, we were saving some cash versus going balcony.

Brilliance of the seas by

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas

Had a good time...always have a good time though. Brilliance is a smaller boat...still pretty clean. Doesn’t look dated. Did a regular balcony...room was small, too small imo. Usually try to do Jr. suites or bigger. Stroller wouldn’t fit through the door, that’s actually a big deal to me...I had to fold it up every time. Balcony had some rust. It did have a lounger tho which was a nice surprise.

Western Caribbean cruise by wannabetravler

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas

Good cruise overall. We liked the smaller ship. Fewer children. Only real issue was the tendering we had to do in three of the ports.

Mixed Results by PegLeg123

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Overall just an average cruise experience. This is the third time we have been on Brilliance and came away a little disappointed. The ship is clean and the cabins are comfortable and clean. The entertainment was horrible. The food was just average. Chops was by far the best. And despite being told we would dock at the pier in Cozumel, we ended up tendering. When we asked ship personnel we were basically lied to as they kept claiming that there were too many ships in port yet we were the second ship to arrive and there was pier space available. Read below my tender comments on Cozumel.

It was an okay cruise by 911CruiseMaster

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The cruise was great. The water was calm going and on return. The staff was friendly and courteous. The ports of call were ok but we had to tender a lot and we rather dock. The food was good but tasted better on other Royal Caribbean ships.

Royals Brillance of the Seas- always a winner by ajlittle7

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Brilliance of the Seas / Destination: Caribbean - Western

A great vacation on a small but big enough Brilliance of the Seas. We love this ship. Service and food gets 5 stars. There was only one thing that was off. The rude and arrogant Next cruise sales person. We wanted to book a $6500 Iceland cruise and she treated us like s..t. We booked it with our agent now. But Royal Caribbean should think about what people are representing their business. Otherwise we loved our staff and the always amazing food. It couldn’t have been better.
