Review summary

Went with a larger tour group which was the main purpose of the cruise. Was my first Royal cruise and I think I'll pick a larger ship if I go on Royal again--realized that the smaller ships are not necessarily what I would want. Overall, the cruise was great and the ship was a nice one.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It was so easy! From the time we arrived at the terminal until we were on the ship was about 30 minutes. We arrived about 10:00.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The food in the main dining room was well prepared, just not wowed by the options. A couple of nights ate at the buffet because the menu was not desirable. The breakfast at the MDR was definitely not worth it--the buffet had it beat. Loved the option of getting quick bites in the Solarium, never had to leave that area.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The silent disco party was a blast.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The comedian was pretty good and the cover bank in the atrium was enjoyable to listen to.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Never encountered anyone that wasn't pleasant.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
I felt that the ship was easy to navigate and common areas were kept clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The size was wonderful for two adults and the beds were comfy--we had it set as twin beds. The deck was quiet and was easy to use either the forward or aft stairs or elevators.

Ports of call

Tampa, Florida

5 out of 5
Tampa's Riverwalk was a nice way to spend the day after disembarking since we had a late afternoon flight.

Cozumel, Mexico

3 out of 5
Typical port with lots of shopping. We didn't do an excursion.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Waiting in the theater was a nice way to wait for your number to be called. The lines to go through customs took awhile but it wasn't too bad.
