Service and Staff

While the waiters and room stewards were amazing, there was a mechanical issue on the third night of the cruise. This caused us to get into our first port 90 minutes late. Rather than tell the passengers what was going on, the captain lied and said it was due to “headwinds “. They attempted to repair the issue while we were in port, but ultimately were unsuccessful. At 6 PM they announced we would be skipping port #2 and going to port #3 directly due to the mechanical issue, and that we would have an extra sea day. By 7 PM we were turned around and clearly heading back to Sydney, yet no announcement was made until 12:30 PM the following day that everything was canceled. We were dropped off at 10 PM 4 nights early, and Royal Caribbean only agreed to pay for 3 nights in a hotel. The change fees offered for airfare was nowhere near the actual cost to change flights.
Ship Quality

Older ship. Stay away from deck 3-5, especially near the back of the boat as the sewage smell is overwhelming.
Cabin / Stateroom

No real complaints here.
Ship tip
Stay away. Mechanical issues caused use to miss nearly all the ports. Killed our dream vacation. Ship was known as “Breakdown of the Seas”.
Not a lot to see here, but if are are energetic rent a bike and visit Jokin Cliff. It is about 25 KM round trip. BRING EXTRA PADDING FOR YOUR SEAT, your butt will thank me for it.
This was a disaster! We had the key, but were unable to make it to the main dining room because so many people were queued up on the floor there was no space to get off the elevator. Room stewards were rushing people out of the rooms, but there was no where to go. It was a 10 PM disembarkation, and people were squatting on deck 5 as early as 6:30.
