Dont count on the Glacier part of the cruise. We were very disspointed to have gotten up so early only to find out the Glacier part of the trip was cancelled! This was the reason we booked this cruise and we were not taken there.

I’m always amazed when people travel by cruise to see a certain thing in a country. Cruises are governed by the weather. Hence the reason so many ports / cruise bys are cancelled.. I’ve had many ports cancelled- disappointing ,but if I’d really wanted to see a place - I wouldn’t rely on a cruise ship … just saying

Out of 4 times I have only seen the glacier from a distance, at Tracy Arm , one time.

Glad you enjoyed most of your cruise. Sorry you didn’t make it to the glaciers. Thanks for sharing.

Yes. Very sorry you missed seeing the glaciers. I understand your disappointment. Another trick is booking a cruise that views multiple glaciers on multiple days.

Sorry your glacier viewing was canceled. If you have read about Tracy Arm you know it is often missed due to weather, fog etc. That is why that itinerary is typically cheaper than a Glacier bay cruise. If people want a better chance of seeing glaciers, they know to take a Glacier bay cruise so Tracy Arm is less popular so cheaper.
