Review summary

As our first cruise, this was beyond an amazing trip! We were hooked for sure after this trip and have been on 3 more since, and will be going on number 5 soon. Spending extra time in Barcelona made the trip just even better. Such an amazing city with amazing people.

Embarkation

This was our very first cruise and I will honestly say, it was very smooth to embark.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
While we didn't try any of the specialty dinning, the buffet, MDR, and included smaller stations such as the Solarium Cafe were all wonderful. We honestly felt this buffet was better than some larger ships (which we would discover later)

Service and Staff

DeRoy was the greatest! He made sure every little need we had was met as he knew this was our first cruise. He checked in on us every day and asked how our day went, what we saw, everything. I really hope we see him again on another trip!

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a spacious balcony for this 7 night cruise. The room was more than large enough for two people and very clean for an older ship!

Ship tip

If you are looking for all the "bells and whistles" on a ship, this isn't the one for you.

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain

We flew into Spain a day ahead of time and were able to explore a little of the city. After the cruise was over, however, we spent 2 more days in Barcelona and I fell in love with the city! So much to see and do, the people were friendly, and the weather was great!

Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France

We wondered into a more residential area and some of the locals weren't too happy we were there. That being said, it was a short, and inexpensive train ride to Monaco which we LOVED!

Portofino, Italy

One of the most beautiful places I've ever seen!
