Review summary

Our cabin was dirty when we first entered, especially the toilet. Firs time something like that happened to me on a cruise. Beyond that food was blend and badly presented in the main dining room, service was usually not as good as it usually is on Royal Caribbean. The ports of call were the best part of this vacation, but after this I might take a break from cruising.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Smooth and fast embarkation. Everything very organised at the port.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Worst food I had at Main dinning room on a Royal Caribbean Ship. Windjammer was better.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not a lot to do but it was not my first time on a Radiance Class Ship so I was not expecting much.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Entertainment was subpar compared to what I am used with Royal Caribbean. Music in bars was usually not great. Only one night with Jazz. Even the main shows at the Theatre were not incredible.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
The ship seems to be understaffed. Some were not as polite as one is used to on a Royal Caribbean ship.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
The ship really needs a revamp. And some areas were not spotless clean, which is even more serious in the covid era we are living at.

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
I had a Spacious Balcony Stateroom on deck 9. Good interior area. Balcony was standard. The bed was comfortable. The overall cleaning was really poor. The toilet needs to be refurbished as well as the room furniture.

Ship tip

The ship’s class is beautiful but don’t expect much about Brilliance. It’s really in need of a refurbishment.

Glad you had wonderful ports. I think excited ports are the best part of cruising. I agree RCL needs to go back to the pre covid service and food.
