Too many steps for elderly that’s the main concern my mom wasn’t able to attend some things because she can not do stairs other then that was good

Embarkation

Getting in the ship was so smooth it was later in the afternoon that issues started arising and never resolved but decided to not let it ruin my cruise but for my next cruise I did not book Royal.

Service and Staff

The waiters and our room attendant were amazing The guest service agent who I initially went to with a couple luggage issues was very rude, did not speak English very well and did not have any solution to our issue pretty much told me oh well it happens and in those exact words was on the first day and my mother’s 1st cruise not a good way to start thank goodness other staff were able to make the cruise but no solution was ever found for my broken luggage that was done by crew, except promising of 2 bottles wine and only 1 received but doesn’t replace a $100 suitcase

Ship Quality

For an older ship it was great super clean as well

Cabin / Stateroom

Cabin was great plenty of room for 3 of us all our beds were great I slept on the pullout bunk ladder was a little hard trying climb up but bed was super comfy

Ship tip

Take your own luggage do not let it get thrown literally thrown into a large bin with all the other because if it gets damaged they do nothing for you I bought my 2 piece set specifically for this cruise and they broke my zipper, tags were torn off 2 of our cases my elderly (70 yr old) grandma found her case just sitting without tags by an elevator where anyone could have taken her bag, no help to take it to our room then had to go downstairs to claim mine again all tags torn off and my zipper completely broken then asked them to help me get it to my room it’s not a small bag and was told I had to do it myself. Why do I pay gratuities if I’m doing myself (well I didn’t) I made sure my room attendant and waiter were taken care of tho.

Loved this port beautiful layout so easy to access. The vendors here are very pushy(even call you bad names Inn Spanish(until they realize you speak Spanish then apologize lol) but loved how the pool right in the center was free to use

Disembarkation

Slow went around in a complete circle where we could have came right out of our cabin they made us go all the way around kinda unnecessary especially when traveling with older guests but other then that went very smooth
