Review summary

We really enjoyed our cruise vacation.  We went the week before Christmas and the ship was decorated so beautifully for the holidays.  The two days at sea were broken up nicely with our days at Key West and Cozumel.  We had great excursion opportunities and enjoyed both of the ones we choose.  Lots to do and see.  The only suggestion I would make would be to have more eateries that don't require an extra cost.  We really only had 2 options the entire time and it would have been nice to have more variety.

More non-paying options would have been nice.

Cabin / Stateroom

We had a nice sized oceanview stateroom at the end of the hall, which was perfect because there was little traffic in that part of the ship.  It was a little loud at times because we were over a crew area where they were working and running noisy equipment, particularly the final night when they were moving luggage until late into the evening.  But overall we were happy with our room.

Ship tip

Definitely go to the minstrel dining room for your dinner seating. We missed the first few nights and were getting tired of the other dining option by the end of the cruise. There are only two 'free' dining options so going to the dining room provides a little more variety.

The ferry ride over to Playa del Carmen for several of the mainland excursions was very rough. Many people got sea-sick. If you don't do well with a bumpy ocean ride, stay in Cozumel. There are many things to do there as well. Next time we'll stay on the island.
