Review summary

This has become my favorite ship with RCCL.  I love the Windjammer on this ship.  The cook parallels what is on the restaurant menu that night and adds even more.  You can have dinner and get to the early show without a hassle.  2-2 1/2 hour dinners are getting old for me.  The Windjammer is quite spacious on this ship, more open, round tables, very inviting.  Even has a gluten free section every day.  One evening they made Bananas Foster in the Windjammer, nice touch.

I really love the Concierge Lounge and Diamond Lounge on this ship.  They give you a nice view for your loyalty.  Disappointed in the top tier event.  Bigger deal was made on this same ship back in Dec 2015.  They did not acknowledge we made Diamond Plus on either of these sailings.

The stores on this ship need someone who is a "real shopper" to add merchandise people want.  Example, woman are into leggings and they pack easily, they had none.  I won the thermal day spa pass but I forgot my bathing suit.  They don't sell bathing suits onboard.  Flip flops, cute ones, different ones, you don't see every day would have been a nice touch.  I am a shopper and spent a fortune in Key West but I spent very little on this ship.  RCCL ships don't cater to shoppers.  Their jewelry onboard not so great. They don't seem to be in touch with what shoppers want.

Love the solarium upstairs with pool that has a glass roof.  Very serene.

Interesting this was an Easter cruise and while there were many kids on board this ship handled it beautifully.  Although one soft serve ice cream machine in the Windjammer for the whole ship was surprising.  If you want "real ice cream" you need to go to the dining room, really?  Windjammer closes at 9 PM and then the Park Café opens for a couple of hours.  No other food venues on this ship that I could find.

Loved the new cosmetic doctor on this ship.  Can't recall her name but she's from Mexico, liked her a lot.  Also noticed my last two cruises were on the Brilliance and the cabin stewards were both EXCEPTIONAL.  Lissett Fong and I Made Setiawan.  Also, deserves a special mention the Concierge Rafael Soares.  He goes above and beyond.

Our biggest disappointment is that we signed up night one for the behind the scenes tours, I have never done this.  Never heard a word.  When I inquired I was told nobody signed up so it was canceled.  The people sitting at our table said they signed up as well.  So what happened?  Later I was told they did find my reply but it was unfortunate it stuck to the lid in the box and was never found.  Hmm, so what happened to the rest of the passengers, where did their replies go?  I think someone dropped the ball.

The big surprise, unscheduled, the ship introduced Tenya (SP) the activities director to sing.  She was the best entertainment on the ship.  Who knew?  The entertainment on this ship was just OK.

Motion on this ship, smooth as silk!!  Nice sailing out of Tampa.  The bad news you, smaller ships sail out of Tampa therefore you know you are going to Mexico, not a personal favorite of mine.  However, Key West port makes the whole cruise.

Cosmetic doctor,, to answer your question.  If you are thinking about injections, thermage or any cosmetic procedure to your face you could get a free consultation.  Not sure I would do it onboard a ship but it gives you an opinion for FREE.

What is a cosmetic doctor on a ship? Does that mean someone gives you injections of botox and what not while you're on a cruise?
